Terms of Service

You need an account to use Gift Closet. You must be at least 13 years old, give us an accurate email address, and keep your password private. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Tell us right away at support@giftclosetapp.com if you think someone else is using it.

Everything you add — people, gifts, photos, notes, budgets — belongs to you. You give us only the permission we need to store, display, back up, and process that content so the Service works for you (for example, sending a photo to an AI model to name a gift, or emailing you a reminder). We never sell your content or use it to advertise to you.

Do not upload content that is illegal, that you do not have the right to share, or that harms other people.

• The Free plan lets you keep track of up to 5 people and includes 50 lifetime AI uses (photo identification and gift-idea searches).
• Gift Closet Plus removes those limits. It costs $5 per month or $50 per year, in US dollars, plus any taxes that apply.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel any time from More → Gift Closet Plus → Manage; you keep Plus until the end of the period you already paid for.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number.
• Because Plus is a digital service that starts immediately, payments are generally non-refundable. If something went wrong with a charge, email us and we will make it right.
• We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; a price change never applies to a period you have already paid for.

Gift Closet can name a gift from a photo and suggest gift ideas. These features use third-party AI models and can be wrong. Always check names, sizes, prices, and suggestions yourself. Shopping links we show (including HubHive, Amazon, Target, and Walmart) are search links to other companies' websites; we do not sell those products, guarantee their availability, or control those sites. Some links may earn us a small commission at no cost to you.

If you turn on email or push reminders, we will send you messages about upcoming occasions and gifts you may have given. Delivery depends on your email provider, your device settings, and networks we do not control, so please do not rely on reminders alone for anything important.

• Do not try to access other people's accounts or data.
• Do not reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or interfere with the Service.
• Do not use the Service to break the law or to send spam.

You can delete your account at any time from More → Settings → Delete my account. That permanently removes your data and photos. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms; we will try to warn you first unless the situation is urgent.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, and our total liability to you for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (or $50 if you paid nothing). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost gifts, missed occasions, or lost data.

We may update these Terms as the Service grows. If a change is significant we will email you or show a notice in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Utah, and you agree to their jurisdiction.
